It’s getting cold in here

Today’s catchup is the Winter Troll.  Much maligned by most of the community he has a few ardent supporters.  I like him, but he is always my 3rd or 4th light warbeast choice (depending on warlock) so he doesn’t get a ton of table time.  I do like him in a fun all light gunny list that I have played before to which I think I will be adding rok.

On the new work front I have been doing a lot of assembly with my limited hobby time so nothing new is painted, but I have built a second fell caller, a full unit of champs, a champion hero, the champion UA, the Sons of Bragg, and half assembled a 2nd full unit of champions.  Hopefully I can get a picture of them tonight and put them up tomorrow.

 

The rest of the whelps and a longest night tent

Here are the rest of that first unit of whelps.  I am thinking with the upcoming Mountain King release I will want (at least) 10 of them.

In more current painting news – I took an intentional break from painting the trolls in order to build and paint up a carnival tent for the Longest Night event being run at Emerald Knights.  The time was well spent, I have an awesome looking ghetto gypsy tent – which is added here because, why not.  This week I think I will be assembling something that isn’t out yet that my ninja shopper was kind enough to bring back from Lock and Load (but is not a mountain king).

Week 5 trollblood model

The astute will notice I didn’t post a new model last week – I spent it building a ton of new models rather than painting and  I am okay with that – I was able to get some hobbying done and will paint up a couple of models in the next week or so but I am super glad to have finally gotten some champions and another fell caller built for my madrak brick list.
